Next Revolution: The Second American Revolution

The purpose of this site is to bring together the support to pass this initiative in california in the nov '09 general election. The initiative will fundamentally change the direction of political power in california, returning control of our democracy to the voters.

The initiative prohibits all outside contributions in california elections, yet preserves the right of political parties to contribute to candidates. The initiative goes on to limit party contributions to any candidate to no more than 30% of the amount contributed by voters qualified to vote in that election.

This initiative will rebalance the currently diminished rights of the voter against the special and corporate interests who are using their free speech and assembly rights as a cover to openly bribe our candidates and officeholders.

Special interest and corporate money determines candidate viability and seriously influences the outcomes of  elections.

The policy that has been emitted by our corrupted assembly and governor has reflected the needs of their bribers, rather than the voters.
