Obama is finally acknowledging, if not admitting through his bush-style terror warning, what every wise observer of Afghanistan has known since the beginning of the Afghan War: The 911 attacks on the US were planned, directed and executed out of Pakistan, not Afghanistan, as will be any further future attacks on American Corporate Interests. But it is more likely that any future attacks will be executed by the Pashtuns who compose the Afghan and Pakistani branches of the Taliban, rather than the adherents of Osama's Al Qaeda.
This marks the final victory of the plan behind Osama's 911 attack: The violent US Diplomatic and military responces to the 911 attack has exposed the brutal nature of the web of American-Backed Dictators that attempt to impose control on Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan. The true nature of our Global Empire, which existed long before Bush and is now being consciously administered by Obama, was stripped naked and exposed for the whole world to see through our criminal responces to 911.
The global system through which we provide funds, arms, diplomatic cover, and support for brutal dictators around the world has been exposed by Osama, and our responce to his attack has made enemies of the common people around the world who suffer under our dictators, and includes those people and nations whom reject the policy of supporting and arming dictatorships.
It is quite likely that Al Qaeda has fallen to the wayside as our main competitor for dominant influence in both Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as Iraq. They are no longer necessary to stir up the locals. Our occupation forces are now sufficient for that task, and Al Qaeda is no longer necessary to inflame resistance to American Dictators. Al Qaeda was, and still is, to a lesser extent, a stalking horse that Osama expertly used to attack America and draw a violent responce out of the American Empire. Our invasions and occupations then finished the job Osama began. Osama invited us to join a circle of violence, and drew a violent responce out of the US sufficient to delegitimize every American-Supported dictatorship around the world.
Our violent invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq then stirred up the real nests of hornets. The Iraqi Baathists. The Iraqi Shites. The Pashtuns in both Afghanistan and Pakistan, not to mention the low-land Pakistani urban citizens who have been denied democracy and justice by American-backed Dictators and American-Bribed politicians.
America's violent responces to Osama's attacks marked us before the whole world as a criminal empire that utilizes murder, kidnapping, disapparences, and torture, not to mention dictators, to maintain and expand our global empire. We have been caught in the classic trap of of the insurgent: Our responce to the 911 attack, not the attack itself, has destabilized our global empire, seriously threatened our monopoly of global resources, and has contributed to a significant decline in our global diplomatic and political influence.
Osama did not do all of this himself. Our own internal corruption, our loss of our democracy to the corporate fascists bastards who bribed our democracy into submission had already laid the seeds of disorder in our economy, our polity, and our foreign policy. Osama merely expertly exploited and exposed these weaknesses, and revealed to the world, and hopefully America, the true character of the people who have destroyed our democracy. People like the Bushes, the Clintons, and Obama.
In Afghanistan, Osama's attack gave us poor excuse to invade. This ill-concieved invasion and occupation provoked the predictable historical responce of the normally fractious Afghans, which is to put aside their differences and unify to kill enough of the invaders to force defeat and retreat. Although we said we were attacking Osama's Al Qaeda, we are now finding that we are fighting the whole body of the Afghan people, represented by the Taliban. Our Afghan invasion has provided the impetus to spread the Taliban movement into the autonomous regions of Pakistan, and our support of the Dictator Musharraf and the legendairly corrupt Zadari has turned the low-land Pakistani supporters of democracy into enemies of American Dictators and Corruption.
Yeah, it is likely true that Osama was probably sitting in Afghanistan when and if he actually OK'ed the attack. But maybe not. In any case, it is apparent that after the attack was ok'ed the men who came up with the idea, organized and funded the participants, and directed the attack went to and worked out of Pakistan. The main dudes who masterminded the attacks lived in Islamabad and Quetta, where they were ultimately kidnapped into our secret prison system and tortured.
As Obama's warning indicates, Pakistan, not Afghanistan, is the country capable of launching asymetrical attacks on the US. As was true before the 911 attack. This fact, that the 911 attacks eminated from Pakistan, not Afghanistan, was back-handedly acknowledged through Osama's "Terror Warning."
In 2000, when the 911 attack was being planned, attacking out of Pakistan was done because this is where they were able to easily employ modern technology to oganize and direct the logistics of the attack. Today, in 2009, the attacks will come out of Pakistan, by Pakistanis, because our responce to Osama's attack has made all of Pakistan hate our Guts.
